Individual & Family Therapy

  • Residential Treatment
    Mental Health Residential Treatment is provided for a total of sixteen youth between the ages of twelve years and eighteen years at two sites in New Castle County, Delaware. Both Centers are program funded by the Delaware Division of Child Mental health. The Red Lion Residential Treatment Program (RTC) and the Iron Hill RTC are free standing units that intensively treat youth who have emotional and psychiatric problems and life difficulties, in home-like environments that are comfortable and caring. The level of staff intensity and clinical presence ensures a positive and therapeutically enhanced experience for the participants and their families.

  • Day Treatment
    The Kacy Church Day Treatment Center is located in New Castle, Delaware, and is staffed by Special Education certified teachers, Social Workers, Psychologists, and Counselors who form an integrated team that fully implements a multi-faceted approach to working with young people and families with life difficulties, emotional problems or special needs. The Day Treatment Program can treat and educate up to twenty youth between the ages of 12 and 18 years of age. Treatment and educational services are comprehensive and intensive, and geared to meet the therapeutic, academic and related needs of young people on an individual assessed basis.

    These structured services are provided to Delaware school-aged youth who live at home, in residential settings or with treatment foster families. Services are provided both individually and in a group setting. For more information, contact (302) 454-7882.

Child Welfare, Foster Care & Adoption

  • Foster Care/Treatment Foster Care/Intensive Residential Treatment
    These programs in Delaware provide various levels of care for youth who are involved with the dependent and/or delinquent system.  The youth in these programs require a more intensive treatment experience with a designated treatment team.  The treatment team consists of specially trained foster parents and qualified treatment specialists, mentors and masters level clinicians.

  • Independent Living Program ("Making My Way")
    This is an Independent Living skills development program located in Delaware.  The program is designed to assist older teenagers and young adults effectively transition out of state foster care system into adulthood via the support and direction of a life-skills mentor.

ADULT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES

Residential & Detoxification

  • Medically Monitored Detoxification
    NET's Kirkwood Detoxification Center in Delaware provides addiction assessment and medically monitored detoxification services to adults in Delaware. It is the only detoxification center in northern Delaware. Medical and clinical staff provide interventions toward abstinence on a 24-hour/7-day per week basis.   • Consumer Engagement and Transition (CET) Program
    The NET Kirkwood Detoxification Center (KDC) Consumer Engagement and Treatment (CET) program in Delaware facilitates early treatment engagement for consumers who have multiple detoxification admissions (three or more within a 12-month period). The purpose of the CET program is to provide extensive case management services, psychosocial support, counseling, and motivational enhancement to engage consumers in treatment while awaiting transition to a treatment program. The program is designed to give it's consumers a place to go each day where they are expected, and held accountable for attendance, and for remaining clean and sober. The program includes a daily regimen and it operates from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week.

    The CET program is performance-based contract publicly funded by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) and is evaluated by the Treatment Research Institute (TRI).
